Who We Are?

Our Mission

challenge old and habitual assumptions of learning design, and serve to facilitate contexts that empower learning

dr. daniel lutz - founder

Dan Lutz is an organizational learning design specialist.  His consultation in both education and business emphasizes development of global competence, empathy, and equity of inclusion and engagement across diversity of stakeholders. As an education futurist he consults with a vision for the dramatic shifts traditional teaching structures must undergo for learners to have maximum continuous access to the emerging world. For businesses he brings his expertise from education to guide and support organizational holistic integration, diverse inclusion of voice, and the wisdom and practice of lateral leadership.

Dr. Lutz developed and nurtured his passion for global competence education as a teacher in New York, a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Afghanistan, and a trainer for new Peace Corps Volunteers in Iran. He led collaborative teams in designing and establishing a high school international studies magnet program and four public international studies schools for diverse student enrollments. To provide authentic cross-cultural and international experiences for these schools’ students he assisted in establishing a foundation to provide travel project grants.

Dr. Lutz completed his master’s degree in cross-cultural education in conjunction with his early teaching and Peace Corps work, and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in curriculum leadership. His roles in education have included teacher, program director, school principal, district and national design consultant for international studies schools, and graduate level instructor for teachers of global education.  He co-founded a national association of schools and programs, has served as a director on four nonprofit boards, and is currently vice president of Co-Lead International, a Lutz GLOBE nonprofit associate organization.

Dr. Lutz’s primary joy and passion in his work is seeing how businesses with which he works develop a sense of humanitarian purpose guided by a mission to make a positive difference in the world.  In that context he is energized in facilitating those organizations’ work to integrate all aspects of their operations driven by that mission.  In education he loves the difference young people make in their world at their age when given the opportunity, expectation, trust, knowledge and skills in global competency.
